Blood status: Halfblood - Vole is one of those many cousins Maxim's always talking about with the funny blood - Troll, in his case.
Personality:
Vole is an arrogant, aggressive, thick-headed jerk. Most people would consider that enough to make him unlikable, but for Jaegers it's pretty par for the course. What separates him from the rest of the pack is the insistence that his way is the right way, nay, the only way, and that all other ways are wrong. It makes him unusually rigid, especially in comparison to the others
Canon Background:
Like with all Jaegers, the extent of Vole's personal history is a mystery, but there's quite a lot that can be extrapolated based on canonical evidence. The first thing is that Vole is somewhere between 175 and 150 years old, depending on what age he was when he was recruited into the Heterodyne forces. This is based on his comment to Gil that he'd been putting up with the Castle Heterodyne for 150 years, and as it had been installed some 100 years prior by Faustus Heterodyne, that means it was in place and active on his very first day among the forces. This is extremely important to note because without it, it's easy to get a very wrong impression about him.
You see, the Jaegerbrau isn't given to just anybody. Only the best, the strongest and the most loyal of the Heterdyne's soldiers are offered the chance to drink it, and only 1 in 10 survive it.
